Sessions & great Ensemble - Happening

Steve Baker's Late Night Sessions

Thursday, Nov. 2nd - Saturday, Nov. 4th, from 11:00 pm

For many World Harmonica Festival attendees, the legendary Late Night Sessions in the Kesselhaus under the artistic direction of Steve Baker constitute one of the highpoints of the event. In 2017 we are pleased to announce that we have engaged Europe's no.1 blues band B.B. & the Blues Shacks as backing band for the sessions. This offers participants the rare opportunity to get up on stage with a top professional band and give their best in front of an enthusiastic audience of harmonica lovers.

Late Night Jazz Sessions

Thursday, Nov. 2nd & Friday, Nov. 3rd, from 11:00 pm

In 2013 we very successfully added Jazz Jam Sessions to our wide-ranging WHF attendee support programmes.

The Jazz Jam Sessions will be held at the "Canape", a club in Trossingen under the direction of Jens Bunge. The sessions will be open to all WHF attendees who play chromatic, diatonic or other harmonica related instruments. Participants will be provided the opportunity to perform and improvise to their favorite jazz numbers accompained by a professional jazz trio > Thomas Förster: E-Piano, Arpi Ketterl: Bass and Frank Denzinger: Drums.

Whether you are a Jazz lover, player or just curious, you are encouraged join-in for fun evenings and a perfect ending to a busy festival day.

Great Ensemble - Happening

Friday, Nov. 3rd, from 11:00 pm

The enthusiasm for playing together in smaller groups and formations is getting bigger and bigger. A great reason to organize a special "ensemble happening" in the supporting program of the World Harmonica Festival 2017.

Already in the run-up to the festival the interest was huge, so that we can look forward to a great, varied happening in the character of a session.

All sessions as well as the ensemble happening start directly after the gala concerts in the Dr. Ernst Hohner Concert Hall have finished at around 11:00 pm and end at approx. 2:00 am.

Tickets for the sessions can only be purchased directly at the Kesselhaus / Trossingen or Canape / Trossingen before the sessions begin. Admission costs Euro 8,-- / person. The entry fee admit free entry to both sessions per night.

Every night a shuttle bus will be available to take people back to their quarters.
